Pricing Information

We pride ourselves on our adaptability and commitment to excellence in every aspect of our service. Explore what we have to offer.

Hourly Rate Billing

As solicitors our charges are based on the time spent working on your matter.  An hourly rate is set depending on the solicitor's seniority , experience, and the complexity of the work. The Solicitor will keep a record of the time spent on tasks such as meetings, drafting documents, phone calls, correspondence and  related specialist information required for your work.  Thee final bill is calculated by multiplying the time spent (usually in units of 6minutes) by the agreed hourly rate.

Our Fixed Fee Structure

Certain aspects of work we do is charged on a fixed fee basis (eg: drafting a will, drafting a simple trust deed, handling straightforward conveyancing)  The fee is agreed in advance and does not vary regardless of time spent handling it unless a variation is agreed. This arrangement provides certainty for the client but usually limited to routine or predictable types of legal work.

Chargeable

These are activities for which a solicitor is entitled to bill the client such as :

Drafting legal documents

Reviewing and analysing documents

Client meetings and consultations

Meetings with third parties on client's matter

Court attendances and meetings

Preparing correspondence, phone calls and emails connected to the matter

Negotiations and settlement discussions

Certain types of research related to the matter.

Non-Chargeable Items

These are items not billed to the Client

General administration (filing, scheduling, opening/ closing a file)

Training or supervision of staff not directly linked to the case

Office overheads

Correcting a solicitor's own error or duplicative work caused by inefficiency.

Disbursements

Disbursements are expenses paid by the solicitor to third parties on behalf of the client during the course of legal work. They are separate from professional fees.  Examples of these are  court fees, Expert's fees,  Land Registry fees, Probate registry fees, Search fees, Courier charges  etc. The Solicitor usually pays these costs from deposits taken from client or upfront from the firm's account and recovers the payment from the client. These are usually itemised separately on the bill.
